No one looks forward to root canal therapy, but we at KayCare Family Dental, PC can also assure you that there is no reason to fear it. We use modern techniques and advanced equipment here, with the goal being to provide you with the most effective and comfortable experience possible. In fact, most of our patients tell us that they had very little to no pain at all during it.
The truth is that the pain comes from the infection in your tooth, and not from our Noonday root canal. A cavity, loose or lost filling, or chipped or fractured tooth can allow bacteria to get inside your tooth. The result is that you will have symptoms such as pain when you press against the tooth or chew using it, a general toothache, sensitivity to hot and cold, swelling, tooth discoloration, and gum tenderness. You may not notice all of the above, but any of those signs may mean that you need our Noonday root canal. Our dentist will make sure with an examination and x-rays. The procedure begins with administering local anesthesia to numb the area. The top of the tooth is then drilled off so that your dentist can get to the base of it and remove the infected pulp and the adjacent nerve. The next step is cleaning and disinfecting the canals. Finally, the canals are sealed off, making further infection less likely. The tooth is then given a chance to heal, after which you will come in to have a crown made. That crown will ultimately restore your tooth to its full size and normal appearance.
Don’t suffer with a tooth infection and risk the loss of the tooth. Our Noonday root canal has a high rate of success. So be sure to call us right away and we will have you seen at the earliest possible opportunity.
